These chocolate brownies are crunchy on top, and gooey in the middle! Yum yum!!!
Ingredients :
75g (3oz) self-raising flour
15g (1/2oz) cocoa powder
a pinch of salt
50g (2oz) margarine
175g (6oz) light muscovado sugar
1 tablespoon water
100g (4oz) plain chocolate chopped into pieces
1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence
2 eggs
Method :
- Pre-heat oven to gas 3,160'C
- Grease and line an 18cm square tin
- Put margarine, sugar and water in a saucepan, and melt over a low heat - do not boil
- Remove from heat and mix in chocolate pieces and vanilla essence, stirring all the time
- Beat in the eggs
- Sieve the flour and cocoa into the pan and beat the mixture until smooth and glossy
- Pour the mixture into the prepared tin
- Bake for 20 minutes, until firm to touch
- Leave in tin to cool
- Remove from tin and cut into 9 squares
- Enjoy!!!
Tips:
- Heat them in the microwave for 5-10 seconds and add a dollop of fresh cream or ice-cream
- Presentation, stack them in a pyramid and sprinkle lightly with icing powder over the pyramid of Deluxe Chocolate Brownies
- Add a small handful of nuts to the mixture before baking/ add nuts on top of the mixture before baking/ add nuts on top of the Deluxe Chocolate Brownies after they've been cooked.

I bet the cookies must be very yummy and you are using muscovado sugar
